As the market leaders in cold sore treatment and prevention, Abreva (US) and Zovirax (UK) underwent a unified global digital transformation to modernize their experience on a brand-new content management system. Tasked with navigating minimal brand guidelines and existing physical packaging, the project necessitated the creation of a comprehensive digital design system from the ground up. This framework established a premium UI/UX foundation, supported by the execution of a custom visual ecosystem that included a full pack-shot library and a specialized face-model shoot to ensure a cohesive, high-end aesthetic across all territories.
The cornerstone of the redesign was a fully interactive educational experience designed to guide consumers through the stages of cold sores while capturing critical data to inform future marketing strategies. This involved the end-to-end production of bespoke assets, from initial storyboarding to the directing and filming of high-fidelity videos and stills. Ultimately, the superior quality of these original shoots led to the materials being adopted across wider global marketing campaigns, successfully bridging the gap between clinical expertise and an engaging, user-centric digital journey.
